Service Update
We are writing to share the disappointing news that our NHS hearing aid support service for Southend Hospital patients will be ending on 31st March 2026. This is due to the NHS being unable to fund this service at the current time.
All Southend patients should now contact their audiology department to access hearing aid maintenance moving forwards. If you had an appointment booked with us after the 1st April 2026, please note this has been cancelled and you will need to make an appointment with Southend Hospital.
We understand the inconvenience and upset this news may cause, but it is sadly out of our hands, and any complaints should be emailed to info@hearinghelpessex.org.uk which we will collate and share with the relevant NHS decision makers.
Our services for Broomfield Hospital and Basildon Hospital patients will continue and remain unaffected.
From your feedback, we know that our service for Southend patients has been valuable and successful.
We will continue to work with the NHS with the hope we can re-launch this service in the future.
