Shared learning and social Event

On Wednesday 29th March 2023 we held our annual Volunteer Training Day at Christ Church URC. It was a hugely enjoyable day, with fantastic turnout of around 50 attendees. For those that use our NHS Hearing Aid Support Service, our Volunteers provide a vital support service in the local community, and as part of our commitment to providing a quality service, we provide regular training to all volunteers to ensure they can deliver their role in a safe and professional way.

Topics covered included an update on Bluetooth technology, assistive equipment, lone working, and the launch of our new Volunteer Charter. Technical volunteers also had the opportunity to practice re-tubing and maintenance under the watchful eye of local NHS Audiology Technicians. Huge thanks to the team from Mid-Essex Hospital that joined us to share their expertise.
