Volunteers week 2023 – celebrate and inspire

Hearing Help Essex marks Volunteers’ Week 2023.

2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when Hearing Help Essex will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK. With this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’ we hope to encourage people to be the change that we want to see and get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.

This Volunteers’ Week HHE will be celebrating their 55 amazing volunteers, by sharing their stories on various social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Please do keep an eye out and share to help us raise awareness of the vital work that our Volunteers deliver in Essex.

Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the Mid-Essex community can live well with Hearing Loss, and access the support they need at venues that are convenient for them. I am immensely proud of all the team achieve, and quite simply, our Charity wouldn’t exist without them – during 2022 our volunteers delivered over 4,000 appointments to NHS hearing aid patients. I am not aware of any other local organisation that has such a staggering volume of work delivered by Volunteers.”
