Here’s what some of our volunteers have to say about working with us:
Volunteer, Chelmsford

I volunteer to help local people and to make a positive difference to people’s lives. It also gives me a sense of purpose, as I am now retired. The best part of my volunteering role is to see the look on someone’s face when they can hear more clearly after I’ve re-tubed their hearing aid. It’s a great feeling and better than anything I experienced in 42 years working in the City! I love it.

Volunteer Maldon & Heybridge

I have never met such a lovely bunch of caring individuals as the other volunteers. Everyone has their own reasons for volunteering, but it all comes down to caring for others. Every hearing aid session I support leaves me with a smile and sense of wellbeing. I’m sure it is as good for me as for the clients I help!

Volunteer, Witham
Volunteer, Heybridge and Burnham

On many occasions I have witnessed clients who have been feeling anxious, frustrated or even distressed because their hearing aids are not working properly. It is very gratifying that after I have finished maintaining their hearing aids, they appreciate what I have done to help and leave with a smile on their face. It is a good feeling that I have made that possible.
